On insurance, what does it mean for you?

In our residence, patients insured in VZP, ZPMV, OZP, RBP, ŠKODA, Česká průmyslová pojišťovna, VoZP and UNIQA receive medical care free of charge - as part of compulsory medical insurance in the Czech Republic.

If you have one of these insurances, therapist consultations, diagnostics, tests, preventive examinations, screenings and treatment of diseases are paid by the insurance company.

  • Treatment of diseases and acute conditions
    If your health suddenly deteriorates, it is included in the insurance program.

    For example, diagnosis and treatment are covered free of charge:
    • Viral and bacterial infections,
    • Disorders of the gastrointestinal tract,
    • Exacerbations of chronic diseases,
    • Back and joint pain, inflammation, sprains,
    • Domestic and sports injuries.
  • Preventive check-up every two years
    A preventive check-up breaks down the status of chronic conditions and helps prevent new ones from developing.

    The examination includes:
    • history taking and assessment of individual risk factors,
    • reviewing chronic complaints and developing a diagnosis and treatment plan.
    • Examination of the heart, lungs, abdomen, spine, joints and skin,
    • vision and hearing tests,
    • height, weight, blood pressure,
    • ECG.
  • Blood tests under insurance
    A wide range of laboratory diagnostics is available to you:
    • Renal and liver parameters,
    • Cholesterol and lipids,
    • Sugar,
    • Thyroid function,
    • General blood test,
    • Uric acid.
    • Additional parameters if there are medical indications.
  • Cost-free screenings by age
    The insurance company also covers screening programs:
    • Breast cancer - from the age of 45 in women,
    • Bowel cancer - from the age of 50 in everyone,
    • Prostate cancer - from the age of 55 in men,
    • Lung cancer - smokers from the age of 55 in all,
    • Dementia screening - from the age of 65 for everyone,
    • Osteoporosis in everyone,
    • Aortic aneurysm - 65-68 years old in everyone.
  • Dispensary for chronic diseases
    If you have:
    • High blood pressure,
    • Violation of sugar,
    • Changes in the thyroid gland,
    Then annual examination and control are carried out on insurance.
  • Preoperative examinations
    The general practitioner conducts the necessary preparation for the operation, tests and conclusion - free of charge under insurance if there is a referral issued by a narrow-profile doctor.
